National Challenge 2024: Registration Open Soon

New registration site opens on 1 May for 2024 Challenge – Read the essential guidance now

Registration will open on 1 May 2024 and close on 12 June 2024 for this year’s Challenge in Portsmouth this September.

The registration system has been rebuilt for this year and so we have developed essential guidance that all bookers need to read before embarking on registering their teams this year. We hope this guidance will make the process easier this year. Bookers will need to gather the relevant information before booking. Wherever possible bookers are asked to book all their Service’s teams at once in order to reduce the amount of administration required.

Entry to the World Rescue Challenge 2023

The WRC 2023 will be hosted by the Asociacion Profesional de Rescate en Accidentes de Trafico, in Lanzerote, Spain in the week commencing 16 October 2023.  Details are yet to be published.

Each year the World Rescue Organisation invites UKRO to nominate teams for the event.  To ensure fairness and consistency and to reward merit UKRO has a policy for which UK teams will be invited to take part.

Our policy is to offer the top 3 teams in Extrication and Trauma at the previous year’s UKRO Challenge an opportunity to have a subsidised place at the following WRC.  The subsidy comprises the repayment of the entry fee only following attendance at the WRC.

Should one of the top 3 teams not be able to attend or additional places become available then slots are offered to UK teams in the rank order in which they finished at the previous year’s Challenge.  These places are offered without any financial support from UKRO.

Teams should not approach the WRO seeking entry to the WRC.

If teams have any queries in respect of this matter please email Guy Goodman, Trustee/Director of Corporate Services at ggoodman@ukro.org
