Current Vacancy – Trustee of Corporate Services

United Kingdom Rescue Organisation (UKRO) are looking to extend their Board of Trustees with the appointment of an additional Trustee. Applicants must be from the emergency sector or associated organisations.
The role is on a voluntary basis. Applicants must have the support of their Chief Fire Officer or their Chief Executive and be supported financially and with time by their employer to undertake the role.
The areas of work would include the following:
- Lead on the Corporate Services of UKRO and ensure there is a strategy for effective succession planning across all roles within the charity.
- Provide support and critique to existing UKRO Board of Trustees/directors.
- Working collaboratively with UKRO partners and between directorates.
- Support the UKRO Business Plan, including vision & mission.
- Promote and encourage cultural improvements, taking into account FRS sector reviews etc.
- Assist with consideration of UKRO budget to contain cost, deliver efficiencies and maximise in regards value for money (Balance between Economy, Effectiveness and Efficiency).
- Drive organisational improvement, linking to external and internal drivers.
